OPEN LETTER FROM PAKISTAN BACKS INDIA AS BALOCH LEADER SIGNALS BREAK WITH ISLAMABAD

As 2026 begins, an open letter from Pakistan has brought Balochistan back into global focus. Written by Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch to India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, the letter extends New Year greetings and openly backs India’s stance on counter-terrorism.

 

The letter calls for cooperation between India and Balochistan and warns that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has reached an advanced stage with far-reaching consequences. Reiterating Balochistan’s political break from Pakistan, Mir Yar Baloch outlines plans for international diplomatic outreach.

The development highlights rising political unrest within Pakistan and renewed international attention on the Balochistan issue.
