Along with the Chief Minister, BJP leader Nemcha Kipgen and Losii Dikho of the Naga People’s Front were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers. Their induction is seen as an effort to ensure inclusive representation in the government, with Ms. Kipgen representing the Kuki-Zo community and Mr. Dikho representing the Naga community.
Two more MLAs were also administered the oath as Cabinet Ministers, expanding the Council of Ministers. With this, the new government has begun taking shape amid expectations of political stability and inclusive governance in the state.
The leadership arrangement reflects a balance among Manipur’s diverse communities and is expected to play a key role in addressing administrative challenges and restoring normalcy. The newly sworn-in Chief Minister and his team are expected to outline their governance priorities in the coming days.
