In a dramatic intervention, members of the British Sikh community rescued a schoolgirl from a council flat in Hounslow, where she was allegedly being groomed and held by an Afghan man.

According to reports, around 200 Sikh men and women gathered outside the flat on Sunday after receiving information about the girl’s whereabouts. Community members accused the man of keeping the minor inside the flat from as early as 5 am until 10 pm, allegedly in the presence of five or six other men.

The group claimed the girl had been groomed and prevented from returning home, prompting the community-led rescue. Police were later informed, and the matter is now under investigation. Authorities have not yet released further details, citing the sensitivity of the case and the involvement of a minor.
