Denmark Issues ‘Shoot First, Ask Questions Later’ Directive to Troops Amid Trump’s Greenland Threats

Copenhagen(FNO): Denmark has reportedly instructed its troops to be prepared to “shoot first, ask questions later” if any attempt is made by the United States to forcibly seize Greenland, amid renewed threats by former US President Donald Trump to take over the Arctic territory.

According to reports, the Danish Defence Ministry has tightened rules of engagement to safeguard Greenland, a self-governing territory under Danish sovereignty. The move follows Trump’s repeated statements claiming Greenland is vital to US strategic interests.

While Denmark has not officially confirmed the wording of the order, officials stress that any unauthorised military action would be met with immediate resistance. Greenland’s leaders have reiterated that the island is not for sale, underlining that its future will be decided solely by its people.
