Amid mounting speculation over the condition of jailed former Pakistan prime minister Imran Khan, the Adiala Jail administration on Thursday firmly denied rumors regarding his health and alleged transfer from the facility. Officials stressed that Khan remains inside the Rawalpindi prison, is “fully healthy,” and continues to receive regular medical care.
The clarification comes after a surge of social media posts and unverified claims suggesting that Khan had been moved or was in critical condition. Jail authorities rejected the reports as “baseless,” countering the online frenzy that has fueled public concern.
Khan has been incarcerated since August 2023 in multiple cases, and the speculation intensified after his three sisters alleged that they were “brutally” assaulted by police outside the prison last week while attempting to meet him — an incident that raised further questions about access and transparency.
